Former Ghana U20 forward Enock Atta Agyei has joined Libyan top-flight side Al Ahly SC Benghazi on a free transfer, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

The 23-year-old sealed his transfer few days ago after penning a two-year contract with an option for another year as he passed his medical examination.

Agyei decided against extending his stint with Guinean champions Horoya AC in February 2022 following the expiration of his contract and left the club.

The former Ghana national youth player joined the Horoya in July 2019 from Tanzanian side Azam FC.

Agyei won the Guinea National Championship on one occasion with Horoya in 2021 where he played a significant role for the Matamkas.

He played 17 matches for Horoya in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup across two seasons where he managed a goal and an assist.

Al Ahly are keen on dethroning Al Ittihad Tripoli to win the Libyan Premier League in the 2022-23 season to make a return to continental football action.

Agyei becomes the second foreign player to sign for the Benghazi based club this transfer window after Tunisian defender Sadok Touj who joined from Stade Tunisien.
