Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo will leave his Norwegian side Songdal for a bigger team when the summer transfer window opens in June, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Coach of the newly promoted Norwegian top-flight side Eirik Bakke has revealed that they will be unable to keep the in-demand Ghanaian this summer because of offers from top clubs.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak has two options to consider as he seeks to move to a bigger club to further his career in Europe.
Otoo has offers from two top clubs in Norway while there is some interest from clubs in other countries like France, Belgium and Spain.
The amount involved and offers tabled by the club has left Songdal with no option than to give up in their hope of keeping their highly prized Ghanaian attacking player.
"We know that Otoo will not stay here for long before he goes to a bigger club. I do hope we can hold on to him for a longer period but it is not possible," Sogndal coach Bakke said after Otoo scored the only goal in their win over Haugesund over the weekend.
Otoo joined the club from Ghanaian giants Hearts about three seasons ago and has been the club's key player since his move.
He scored his first goal of the season on Friday night after three matches in the new season of the Norwegian top-flight.
