EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian forward Francis Amuzu escapes prison sentence after COVID-19 rule violation

Ghanaian winger, Francis Amuzu is lucky to avoid a two-month prison sentence despite breaking COVID-19 rules in Belgium, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report. 

However, the 22-year-old will serve a 50 hours community service for his actions.

The Anderlecht player attended a private party which had more than the expected numbers, according to the Belgium Police, violating the COVID-19 protocols.

A court in Halle sentenced the Ghanaian to 50 hours of community service, with the judge stating, "these people regularly laugh at the rules about the Coronavirus. In addition, the fines make them laugh. They earn this sum just by putting on their shoes."

Amuzu is having a good season with the Purple and White this season, netting two goals in 15 matches in the Jupiler Pro League.

His 50 hours community service is not expected to affect his work on the field.
