Ghana Coach Avram Grant was in Russia to monitor the performance of midfielder Rabiu Mohammed who put in one of his best shows of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Israeli manager monitoring of the Russian based midfielder came after he spent almost a month monitoring the local league in Ghana.

This was the first time Grant traveled to Russia to see Rabiu play at first hand since taking over job as head Coach of the Black Stars in 2014.

Grant’s visit to monitor the player signals that he is concerned about how well the player is playing at his club since he is yet to fully impose himself under the former Chelsea boss.

Rabiu who has been in fine form at club level bossed the midfield and created two assists as Kuban Krasnodar played out a pulsating 2-2 draw game against Spartak Moscow on Sunday night.

Black Stars head Coach Avram Grant was visible delighted by the players performance in what was a memorable night in Moscow.

The 26-year-old’s performance was also a delight to his club manager Sergey Tashuev who saw his struggling Kuban Krasnodar side pick up a valuable point in their bid to avoid the drop this season.
