Faith Ladies showcased their championship aspirations with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Northern Ladies in their second match of the ongoing Women's League Super Cup, held at Kyebi.

The defending champions had Emmanuella Johnson to thank for the lone goal of the match, as she fired home from close range to secure the win.

Despite Northern Ladies dominating possession in the first half, they failed to capitalize on their opportunities, and the opening period ended without any goals. Both teams returned from halftime eager to outshine the other, but it was Faith Ladies who broke the deadlock in the 69th minute.

Emmanuella Johnson capitalized on a goalmouth scramble, slotting the ball over the line after Northern Ladies struggled to clear Matilda Damoah's corner kick.

Northern Ladies created some chances in the later stages of the game, but Faith Ladies' defence remained resolute, preserving the 1-0 lead until the final whistle.

With this win, Faith Ladies maintain an unbeaten record and sit atop Group A with six points, making an impressive start to the competition.
