FC Samartex General Manager Edmund Ackah says his past affiliation won't matter in Kotoko clash

The General Manager of FC Samartex, Edmund Ackah, has warned Asante Kotoko about their upcoming Ghana Premier League encounter next month, asserting that the club will not show any sympathy despite his past affiliation with the Porcupine Warriors.

Currently leading the league table, Samartex are gearing up to face Kotoko, who have recently faced a series of defeats. Ackah, who previously had ties with Kotoko before joining Samartex, emphasised that his current role as a football administrator overrides any past allegiances.

In an interview with Green Gold 93.9 FM, Ackah highlighted the professionalism required in football administration.

"I cannot say that because I was a supporter of a particular club when we [Samartex] meet that club, I should allow that club to beat FC Samartex. That should not happen."

Emphasising Samartex's allegiance to its supporters in Wassa Amenfi and beyond, Ackah called for unwavering support regardless of any affiliations to rival clubs such as Kotoko or Hearts of Oak.

With the highly anticipated clash set to take place in Kumasi, both teams are expected to bring their A-game as Samartex aims to maintain their top position in the league standings, while Kotoko seeks to reverse their recent downturn in form.
