The Black Princesses are a step close to reaching the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup after defeating Uganda 2-1 in Kampala.

Ghana started the game brightly and just 20 minutes into the match Salamatu Abdulai broke the deadlock with a fine strike.

The Black Princesses dominated the half but went into the break with the solitary lead.

However, just three minute after the interval, Grace Anima whipped in a beautiful freekick tp double Ghana's advantage.

The West Africans were cruising to victory and with seven minutes left Uganda captain Fauzia Njjemba pulled one back for the hosts.

The Black Princesses return to Ghana with the advantage and will advance with even a draw at home.

Captain Evelyn Badu missed the game with Achiaa Anesthesia leading the girls to victory.
