Former England youth star Tariqe Fosu makes Ghana debut

Former England youth star Tariqe Fosu made his debut for Ghana on Friday during their international friendly against Mali after switching nationality.

The Black Stars are taking on the Malien Eagles at the Emir Hotel Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey.

It is the first time Tariqe, who was capped at England U18 level, hwas being called up by Ghana.

The 24-year-old was previously included in the squad for a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in March just before football was suspended due to COVID-19.

CK Akonnor has named Fosu in his starting lineup to face Mali.

The 24-year-old made one cap for the England U18 in March 2013 during an international friendly against Belgium.

Fosu currently plays for Championship side Brentford FC and has made four appearances in all competitions this season.
