Former Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic is the frontrunner for the Zambia coaching post after being shortlisted for the job.

The Serbian is among five coaches shortlisted for the vacant post and has already been named the favourite.

FAZ last week named five coaches from the several who applied for the job when it became vacant.

Those shortlisted includes Frenchman Sebastein Desabre and former South African coach Gordon Igesund - both have already attended interviews at Football House.

Stevanovic and Swiss Raoul Savoy will be interviewed this week.

Sources within FAZ have indicated that Stevanovich has a good CV and is likely to be considered for the job.

“Goran has a rich CV, he might take the job,” said the source.

The 49-year-od, who has coached top clubs in Serbia, China and Greece, worked as the assistant coach for the Serbian national team for three years before taking over the Black Stars.

Stevanovic was in charge of Ghana when Zambia defeated the Black Stars 1-0 in the semi-finals of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
