Former GPL winning coach believes lack of "experience" won't affect C.K Akunor on his CAF CC adventure

Former Wa All Stars coach Enos Adepa has dispelled the notion that Kotoko gaffer C.K Akunor's inexperience on the continent will affect the club in Africa.

The 2015/16 Ghana Premier League winning coach has backed his colleague to lead Kotoko to success in the CAF Confederations Cup.

“Experience doesn’t really matter sometimes," he told Footballmadeinghana.som.  “You don’t always need coaches with experience in the African game to get the job done. It is not like it is only those who’ve been in the competition two or three times that can perform. Sometimes coaches with no prior experience can do better.” Adepah continued.

“Everyone needs a first time in life and I believe he (Akonnor) will take this game as a normal football game.  It is going to be a normal leather ball that will be in the center. I have the believe Akonnor will do very well in the competition.

"Akonnor was a fantastic player and he has to know he can become equally great as a coach.” he added.

Asante Kotoko are in Kenya for the first leg of their Confederation Cup tie against Kariobangyi Sharks with the second leg in Kumasi on December 22nd.
