Spanish La Liga side are in the race to sign Ghana U17 defender Abdul Razak Yusif, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.

But the face competition from French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyonnais and two unidentified clubs from Germany.

The centre-back convinced his suitors with some solid performances for the 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup quarter-finalists.

Yusif is a strongly built defender and has the height to deal with the aerial balls.

The 16-year-old was first choice for the team at the African championship and maintained his place at the World Cup.

''We have clubs in Italy ready to take him on immediately. There's also a club from Spain-Girona- but nothing is official for now,'' a source from his local club Koforidua United told GHANASoccernet.com

''We have received an email from clubs in Germany and France (Lyon) and it is direct contact with the clubs not third parties.''
