South African side Free State Stars have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Mumuni Abubakar on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old joins after leaving Black Leopards.

GHANAsoccernet.com revealed two months ago that the former New Edubiase captain has inked a permanent contract with the Ea Lla Koto.

“We welcome the new players to the club and hope they will add value to the team ahead of the new season,” General manager Rantsi Mokoena told Ea Lla Koto's website.

“The club will still make another two or more signings before the closing date of the window period.”

The influential midfielder caught the attention of many PSL sides following his splendid performance in the SA DOL side in the just ended season.
