This time last year, Frenkie de Jong was part of the Ajax side that was progressing to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Since then, he has had a very turbulent year.
By moving from the Dutch side to Barcelona it was always going to be a unique season for De Jong as he had to change city, country and coach.
Yet there was another coaching change in January as Ernesto Valverde was replaced with Quique Setien.
Just as Barcelona seemed to be coming to terms with how to play under the new coach, there was another shock to the system as coronavirus arrived and halted all of football.
This has made 2019/20 a difficult and turbulent season for De Jong, but he still has plenty of time to settle in at the Camp Nou as his contract runs until 2024.
