Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng is bracing himself for Saturday’s north London derby against Arsenal.

The 30-year-old made a dream derby for the Cottagers in their 1-0 win at Sunderland in their opening Premier League game last weekend.

The Ghanaian international saw 65 minutes of action where he impressed heavily at the heart of the centre.

Fulham will next host their north London rivals Arsenal at the Craven Cottage on Saturday eager to continue their impressive start to the season and Boateng is looking forward to the big clash.

“It’s not about me but about the team. The game against Arsenal will be a difficult one but I’m looking forward to it,” Boateng told Happy FM

“We have the confidence to play well and deliver for our fans. Everyboyd knows what I can do and have nothing to prove to anybody.

“This is one fixture that we’re looking forward to and I’m confident we’ll come out tops.”

Arsenal are bruised after losing their opening game 3-1 at home to Aston Villa.
