Gbewaa star forward Yakubu Labando earns maiden Ghana U-20 call up

Highly rated Ghanaian youngster Labando Yakubu has been given his first invite to the national U-20 team of Ghana ahead of the WAFU U-20 Zone B championship. 

The striker who was in devastating form in the Division One league last season, before the truncation of the campaign will undergo the first stages of pre-selection, which involves a justify your inclusion.

Labando and 69 other players were invited by the technical handlers of the U-20 team, and have reported at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence to begin preparations.

The lanky and skinny attacker is revered for his goal scoring prowess and his ability to get the best out of his strike mates.

His invitation to the Black Satellites team is an indication of his recent form in the Division One.

The player who began his career in Madina, a suburb of Accra was also the star of Gbewaa FC during the Normalisation Cup competition.

Yakubu has already attracted interest from some top sides in the Ghana Premier League.
