Genoa target Caleb Ekuban sends transfer request to Trabzonspor

Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban has requested to leave Trabzonspor following interest from Italian side Genoa, GHANASoccernet.com can report. 

The 26-year-old has been on the radar of the serie A side the club preparing a bid of 2.1 millions Euros to Trabzonspor.

However, Trabzonspor are eager to keep their priced assets as the Super Lig league is set to begin.

GHANASoccernet.com can report that the player sent his request to the Turkish outfit after training  their last training in Riva.

aleb Ekuban has been in phenomenal form for the club, recording double figures in terms of goals for the club last season.

Having joined Trabzonspor from English side Leeds, the 27-year-old has made 103 appearances for the club, scoring 29 league goals and providing 18 assists.

The Italy-born has been an integral member of the Black Stars team since earning his maiden call up under former coach Kwesi Appiah.

He was a member of the Ghana team that were eliminated in the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 by Tunisia.

Among the clubs he represented in Europe are Chievo, Lumezzane and Renate.

He also played for FK Partizani Tirana, Leeds United and moved to Trabzonspor in 2018.
