GFA boss Kurt Okraku fully confident in new Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has expressed full confidence in Milovan Rajevac.

At the unveiling of the Serbian as Black Stars coach, Kurt reminded Ghanaians extolled the Rajevac for the exceptional work he did in his first spell.

Rajevac took Ghana to their first Afcon final in 20 years in 2010 and months later, reached the World Cup quarter-final - only the third African country to achieve such feat.

“Milovan did a lot for the nation, in his duties we were having Richard Kingston, Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan Kelvin Prince Boateng but there was no misunderstanding in our dressing room," Okraku said.

"We have to think positive about the Black Stars and put all the negatives aside. Milo has the full respect of the players and will control the dressing room."

“This is not a trial and error appointment" he added.

Rajevac has succeeded Charles Akonnor was sacked after only 10 games in charge.

He has penned a one-year contract which will see him a monthly salary of $30,000 as well as a bonus of $600,000 if he wins Afcon and qualifies for the World Cup in 2022.
