The Ghana League Club Association will stick to the current format of inviting foreign clubs for the President's Cup.

The 2013 edition had four clubs play in a mini-tournament to decide the winner of the trophy.

TP Mazembe of DR Congo and Nigerian side Enugu Rangers faced off with Hearts of Oak and SC Medeama.

"It has come to stay because this particular decision was mooted by the sitting President and we decided to put it in a trail which has been widely accepted," GHALCA spokesperson  Albert Commey said.

"For us is a very good beginning and we will put all the negatives in perspectives and put them in shape before next season."

Hearts of Oak beat fellow Ghanaian Premier League side SC Medeama 2-0 to win this year’s edition.

TP Mazembe of DR Congo beat Enugu Rangers of Nigeria 2-0 to win the bronze medal.
