Voltic Ghana will be the official thirst quencher when the first ever Beach Soccer League commences in Ghana.

The giant mineral water outfit has also confirmed providing water and other essentials to teams affiliated to the Ghana Beach Soccer Association over the entire duration of the Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup currently ongoing in Ravenna, Italy.

''We have been supporting beach soccer since it hit our shores in 2007 so this is just an affirmation of our long standing relationship with beach soccer and the difficult but steady progress made over the years,'' Voltic’s Brand and Communications Manager Ama Armah announced.

The Ghana Beach Sports Association GBSA has however secured a hall for purposes of viewing the world cup at the Accra Sports stadium in collaboration with the National Sports Authority and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Ghana's absence from the line up of the fastest growing sport in the world has not dampened enthusiasm in the capital Accra where twenty registered  beach soccer teams gathered at the national sports stadium.

It is in this light that the GBSA and an unnamed cooperate entity will make a joint partnership announcement ahead of the association’s congress and subsequently the league expected to kick start later this year.

The announcement, expected by the end of this week will outline measures put in place to ensure the continued success of the sand and water discipline.
