Ghana captain Mensah suffers armed robbery attack in Ghana

Ghana captain John Mensah suffered an armed robbery attack at his home in Accra on Saturday night at the most expensive gated community in the country called Trassaco.

The robbers in the early hours of yesterday (1.32am) succeeded in breaking into Henrietta Mensah, wife of the Black Stars captain’s, black Cadillac Escalade.

Despite the sensitive alarm in the SUV, the thieves managed to break the window and made away with some personal effects after unsuccessfully trying to gain access to the bedrooms. It was also the second time in two years that the strong defender’s house has come under robbers’ attack.

In the first incident, the robbers fired gun shorts which damaged some glass windows of the house. Meanwhile, serious questions are being asked of Trassaco about their toughness of their security in their gated community.

The Italian company charges residents close to US$5,000 per year for security which now looks vulnerable after a neighbour of the Mensah family suffered a similar fate just two weeks ago.

Several players of the Black Stars live in Trassaco in the hope that they have escaped robbers but now Trassaco must answer for the spate of dangerous robberies. The misfortune notwithstanding, Mensah told his personnel site johntherock5.com "thanks be to God for keeping my wife Henrietta and the kids intact". The matter has since been reported to the Police who are carrying on with their investigations.
