Ghana defender Benson Annang attracts interest from Celtic

Ghana defender Benson Annang has attracted interest from Scottish giants Celtic, according to reports.

Celtic have been monitoring the youngster and have been impressed with his output for MSK Zilina in Slovakia.

It is said that Celtic doesn't mind signing the 21-year-old this summer.

The club feel Annan fits the profile of the right-back they are in the market for as they want to strengthen that department ahead of the new season.

They currently gave two right-backs in Anthony Ralston and Lee O'Connor after losing highly-rated Jeremie Frimpong in the middle of last season.

Annang, who grew up in Apaapa, a suburb in Labadi, Accra, has been in Europe for just three years. He moved to Zilina in 2018 and has over 80 games under his belt.

Annang has featured three times for the Black Stars under coach Charles Akonnor and is expected to make the squad for next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
