Ghana defender Harrison Afful endures dreadful time in Columbus Crew defeat to Portland Timbers in MLS final

Ghana defender Harrison Afful endured a nightmarish time for Columbus Crew in their Major Soccer League defeat to Portland Timbers on Sunday.

Afful, 29, has established himself as the finest right-back in the MLS since arriving in Columbus this summer.

But Sunday was not his finest hour as the Ghana international struggled against Timbers as he was rated 3/10.

The Black Star versatile man was all over the place; his service was errant, his right side was under siege and he even drew a ridiculous yellow card.

Perhaps the only positive thing to pick form his game was his curled cross that led to his side’s only goal.
