Kenya FA president Sam Nyamweya says they are fine with the reasons  given by Ghana to cancel the 1 June friendly scheduled for Nairobi.

Nyamweya insists they were not snubbed by Ghana who have opted to play Uganda after initially indicating they will play Harambee Stars.

Nyamweya says they are fine with the reasons given by Ghana for canceling the match.

"Looking back we now realize that the match would have been a liability rather than an asset considering the possibility of us getting injuries," he told Goal.com.

He added:"We are preparing to face Nigeria and not Ghana and so our focus is on the June 5 World Cup qualifier at home."

Ghana cancelled the friendly against Kenya on Tuesday by pointing out that it was impossible for them to have all their foreign based players for the build up.

However, on Friday a Ugandan daily reported that Ghana have asked to play Uganda Cranes raising doubts over the reasons given to cancel the friendly against Kenya.
