The Ghana FA will be considering having ex-Ghana strikers impart their knowledge on the current crop to improve their conversion rates.

This was strongly suggested by three-time Premier League goalking Daniel Owusu at last weekend's MTN FA Cup awards ceremony.

He said: "“The goalscoring rate in this country has really gone down, it is not like the 70’s where some of us were crowned top scorers.

"“People like myself, Opoku Afriyie, Emmanuel Quarshie, Willie Klutse and others want to help with our expertise and experience only if the GFA would allow us to so we can improve goalscoring rate in this country.”

The suggestion according to the Ghana FA, is something at least worth mauling over.

"It is a very good idea put out by Dan Owusu and we at the FA would be considering it," GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"We are also very much interested in improving the striking rate of our various national teams therefore any suggestion in that regard is welcomed."
