Ghana forward Emmanuel Boateng to miss Levante opener in La Liga

Ghana striker Emmanuel Boateng will miss Levante's La Liga opener against Real Betis on Friday. 

The Black Stars forward picked up an injury during preseason exercise with the club but could be fit for the second round of games in the Spanish top flight league. '

Emmanuel Boateng, despite being ruled out from tomorrow's game has began slight training after being out for about two weeks.

The 22 year old has become an important member of the club after a break out campaign last season where he scored 9 goals as the club maintained their La Liga status.

The ex-Moreirense forward grabbed the headlines in Spain last season after scoring a hat-trick to end Barcelona's 44 game unbeaten run.

However, in his absence Levante will count on his compatriot Raphael Dwamena who joined the the club in the summer transfer window from FC Zurich.

Dwamena joined on a four year deal.

Coach Paco Lopez will also miss Benito Villamarín and Nigerian midfielder Moses Simon for the opening La Liga game against Real Betis.
