Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed focused ahead of Lens' clash with PSG

Ghana midfielder Abdul Salis Samed is not feeling the pressure ahead of RC Lens' clash with PSG in Ligue 1.

The French champions will be without Neymar, who is suspended, and Lionel Messi, who has yet to return to France after leading Argentina to a World Cup victory.

They are still a strong team, with Kylian Mbappe in excellent form after winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup.

Lens have performed admirably this season, sitting second in the table, seven points behind PSG, and they are hoping for a win on Sunday to close the gap.

"Since I arrived, we have continued to work the same way, hard, I haven't seen a player lower his head. We're all focused, we really want to play for Europe, that's our goal. When I arrived, they said 'we've just missed her for two years.' I want to help the team so that we play it," Samed, who was impressive in Qatar, said.

"We want to reproduce what we did in the first 16 matches. I'm not too much on the networks but I see what's going on around Lens – PSG and I know what Paris represents. The stats of the two teams are not very far apart, which means that the Parisians know that it is always a bit hard to win against Lens, they will come hard. It is up to us to respond, and to all be at our level. It's a great game."

The 22-year-old hasn't missed a game for Lens this season, and has scored one goal.
