Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso will be meeting Espanyol officials on Friday in a latest attempt to force a move away from the Spanish club.

The player and his representative are expected to present a fresh wage demand to Espanyol who are desperate to hold on to the former Villarreal man.

Espanyol had earlier this month rejected a 6m Euro offer from Russian club Rubin Karzan for the Ghana international who is agitating for the move which will see his salary multiply by EIGHT times.

Wakaso will hold talks with the club’s top hierarchy upon his return from international duty where he played for Ghana in the 2-2 draw with Turkey on Wednesday.

The former Elche man is suspended for the first two games in the Spanish top flight after getting sent off in last season’s penultimate game against Barcelona.
