Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan is still struggling with a thigh injury he picked up while on international duty after sitting out his side’s 1-1 draw with Chongqing in the Chinese top flight.

Gyan picked up the thigh injury on the eve of Ghana’s game against Mozambique in Accra and has since been unable to kick a ball.

The 30-year-old has been struggling with a thigh injury since the turn of the year though he played 90 minutes for his side before turning up for international duty.

Gyan’s absence meant Brazilian forward Fernandinho took the mantle and scored the all important goal to earn his side a point.
