Ghana vs Nigeria: Mohammed Kudus headlines returnees for Black Stars in squad for 2022 World Cup playoff

Ghana midfield ace, Mohammed Kudus will be headlining a list of returnees to the Black Stars ahead of the World Cup playoff against Nigeria in March.

The Ajax star has recovered from an injury that kept him out of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon early this year.

Interim coach Otto Addo has spoken to the midfielder and other players who missed the tournament and could be rejoining the team.

Emmanuel Gyasi of Spezia, Celta Vigo's Joseph Aidoo and Clermont Foot's Abdul Samed Salis are expected to make a return to the team.

Meanwhile, Ghana will be without captain Andre Dede Ayew and Yeni Malatyaspor striker Benjamin Tetteh due to suspension.

Rennes star Kamaldeen Sulemana has picked up an injury and could also miss the double-header.

Otto Addo will officially submit his squad to the Ghana Football Association by close of the week.

The Ghana FA is expected to send invitations to the clubs 14 days ahead of the tie before players can be released during the international break.

The Black Stars technical team will meet with management before officially announcing the squad to the public.

The Black Stars will hosts the Super Eagles on March 25 for the first leg before traveling to Abuja for the second leg four days later.
