Ghana winger Frank Acheampong has been voted the best player of Tianjin Teda by fans of the club following his outstanding displays in the Chinese Super League play-offs.

The ex-Anderlecht player and captain of Tianjin Teda has been instrumental in the club's progress to the semifinals of the Super League.

Acheampong played a starring role in the quarter final success over Shenzhen FC, where he netted twice in their 3-1 aggregate win.

Tianjin Teda managed to escape relegation due to the inspirational role played by the 27-year-old, who was handed the leadership mantle at the start of the campaign following the departure of Nigeria star John Obi Mikel.

The 2015 silver medalist at the Nations Cup is revered in China as one of the best foreign imports in the Chinese Super League.
