Ghana youth international Najeeb Yakubu scored to rescue a point for FC Vorskla Poltava as they drew 1-1 at Mariupol in the Ukrainian Premier League on Saturday.

Yakubu pounced on a square pass from Vladyslav Kulach to put the visitors ahead in the 59th minute.

But Mariupol fought back to pick a draw courtesy Dmytro Topalov's 74th minute strike.

Yakubu played full throttle of action for Vorskla Poltava.

The 20-year-old, who joined the club from New Town Youth FC in 2018, is enjoying a breakthrough season under coach Yurii Maksimov.
