Ghanaian forward Braydon Manu tests positive for Covid-19

Published on: 23 July 2021

Ghanaian forward Braydon Manu has been forced to self-isolate after testing positive for Covid-19.

This means he will miss SV Darmstadt's first match of the season this weekend.

The exciting attacker has been left out of the squad for the match against Jahn Regensburg FC on Saturday.

He spent last season on loan at German lower-tier outfit Hallescher FC.

Manu is one of a handful of players including Patric Pfeiffer and Frank Ronstadt who have tested positive for the virus.

As a result, SV Darmstadt 98 head coach Torsten Lieberknecht cannot count on the Ghanaian when his team takes on Jahn Regensburg in Bundesliga II opener.

But the club are confident to have him back for the second game against Karlsruher.
