Ghanaian forward Issah Abass marks Mainz 05 debut with win over TuS Koblenz in friendly

Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass made his debut for Mainz O5 in their friendly win over TuS Koblenz on Thursday after joining the club in the summer. 

The 19 year old, who joined the Bundesliga side on a five year deal on transfer deadline day came on in the 60th minute to help Mainz defeat TuS Koblenz 2-0.

Daniel Brosinski opened the scoring for the German top tier side in the 22nd minute after a brilliant piece of play before Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah made it two with 12 minutes to end the game.

The pacy Ghanaian forward made an impact in the game and looks to be adopting quickly to manager Sandro Shwarz's tactics.

Abass joined the Opel Arena outfit from Slovenian giants NK Olimpija for an undisclosed fee.

The former Ghana U-17 star could be making his Bundesliga debut when Mainz host Augsburg after the international break.
