German-born Ghanaian attacker John Yeboah scored a brace for MSV Duisburg as they strolled pass Bocholt in the quarter-finals of the Lower Rhine Cup.

A goal at either side of half time saw the talented forward send his team to the semi-finals, where they face Straelen for a place in the final of the competition.

The Bundesliga III side got off to a great start, creating early chances against the Oberliga side, with two nearly fetching them the opener.

However, after 30 minutes of resolute defending from Bocholt, Yeboah broke the game's deadlock from an individual brilliance.

After the break, Aziz Bouhaddouz struck the post before John Yeboah sealed victory with a fine finish.

Duisburg return to Bundesliga 3 action on Saturday against Hallescher as the battle for survival continues.

Yeboah, who has provided four assists in the league was netting his first and second goals for the club this season on the Rhine Cup.
