Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Boakye on target as Halmstads BK record a vital away win

Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Boakye continued his impressive form for Halmstads BK in the Swedish second-tier with another goal on Saturday.

Halmstads recorded a 2-0 away victory over league leaders Degerfors IF at the Stora Valla Stadium in the Swedish Suprettan.

Boakye opened the scoring of the fixture for the visitors in the 19th minute as he connected a pass from Samuel Kroon.

Andreas Johansson handed the away side all maximum points as he netted the match winner in the 73rd minute with another pass from Kroon.

Compatriot Joseph Baffo also featured for Halmstads whilst Karim Sadat warmed the bench.

Halmstads are now tied at the top of the standings with Degerfors with 31 points each.

The 27-year-old has scored 3 goals in his 11 appearances for Halmstads so far this season.
