Ghanaian striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari scored a double for Haugesund as the Eliteserien side condemned third-tier side Stord to a 8-1 defeat in the Norwegian Cup on Tuesday night.

The 24-year-old scored the 5th and 7th goals at the Holand Stadion Kunstgress in Loken after his countryman Derrick Mensah had netted the 3rd goal for the visitors.

Karikari's first goal which came in the 67th minute was a product of a fine combination play between the striker and Mensah was the former Tema Youth midfielder traversed the hosts area before locating Karikari inside the box.

And, the former AIK Solna striker coolly finished off with a simple tap-in.

His second was more spectacular as he machined his way through two Stord defenders before hammering home with a blistering effort from outside of the area.

The brace has taken Karikari's goal tally to four (4) goals in five (5) games for Haugesund - a club he joined in the winter after ending his spell at Swedish side Halmstad BK.
