Ghanaian-born Qatar international Mohammed Muntari scored for for Qatari Super League champions Lekhwiya in their shock 5-4 defeat at home to Al Ahli.

Clumsy defending by Al Ahli’s Fred Dabanka allowed Hee deflect home an easy volley for his team’s first goal in the 9th minute.

Al Ahli’s Iajour produced the equaliser in the 14th minute.

Captain Mashael Abdulla tapped a low pass to Iajour who slipped the ball past goalkeeper Lecoumet Kloud Amin for the home team’s first goal.

Despite Al Ahli’s equaliser, Lekhwiya mounted greater pressure on the home team and succeeded in taking lead for the second time when Muntari found the net at the half-hour mark.

Ahmed Al Saad helped Lekhwiya storm to a 3-1 lead when he scored in the 42nd minute of the round 25 clash.

Al Ahli’s Iajour fired one at Lekhwiya goal in the 63rd minute but the ball cannoned off the goalkeeper to Mubele who quickly deflected a neat shot into the net.

Muntari scored Lekhwiya’s fourth goal by jumping high for a header that sailed past goalkeeper Yazan Naim.

Iajour reduced the deficit when he found the net in the 81st minute.

Four minutes later, Lekhwiya goalkeeper Amin fumbled with an easy clearance, allowing an unmarked Al Yazeedi to grab the ball and put it at the back of the net.

Lajour flicked one home in injury time to complete Al Ahli’s memorable win.
