Ghanaian youth striker William Owusu has joined Belgian side Westerlo from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old signed a one-year contract with the top-flight on Saturday night.
Owusu will automatically have the option for another year if he impresses in his first year at the club.
The Ghanaian was signed to boost the ranks of the club as they are preparing to play in the Europa League next season.
Owusu is not unknown in Belgium having spent last season on loan at Cercle Brugge.
The former Real Tamale United striker scored six goals last season for Cercle Brugge.
Owusu has already had loan stints with Gil Vicente and Cercle Bruge in the last two seasons.
