Ghanaian teenage midfielder Lynford Sackey has signed his very first professional with English Championship side Reading FC, the club announced on Friday.
Sackey has been promoted to the Reading U23 after penning the contract and will play in the Premier League 2 next season.
The 18-year-old made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Reading U18 last season.
Sackey played 16 matches in the U18 Premier League, 2 games in the Premier League 2, 1 match in the EFL Cup against Luton Town and 1 match in the FA Youth Cup.
The England-born Ghanaian player will aim at impressing in the Reading U23 in a bid for a first team inclusion when the 2021/2022 campaign begins.
