Ghanaian youngster Charles Sagoe Jr scores for Arsenal in UEFA Youth League loss to Sevilla

English-born Ghanaian youngster Charles Sagoe Jr was on target for Arsenal U19 when they lost to Sevilla U19 in UEFA Youth League on Tuesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old forward got the consolation for the Gunners, who succumbed to a 2-1 defeat in the end at the Estadio Jesus Navas.

Young attacker Alberto Collado got the opening goal of the match in the 12th minute after receiving a pass from Senegalese youngster Bakary Sow.

Jose Antonio Lopez scored the second goal in the match following another assist by Sow.

Sagoe Jr pulled one back for Arsenal with seven minutes to the end of the matchday.

The Arsenal U19s remain bottom with no point after three matches, having lost all of them. Lens lead the table with 9 points before Sevilla and PSV, who are both on 4 points.

Sagoe Jr made his first team debut for Arsenal last month during their 1-0 victory over Brentford in the Carabao Cup.

He has played five games for the Arsenal U21 in the Premier League Two this season, scoring one goal and providing four assists in the process.

He has a goal in three appearances in the UEFA Youth League this campaign.
