Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Ntim is delighted with his return from an over two-month injury layoff.

The 19-year-old returned to the Valenciennes bench in last Friday’s Ligue 2 draw with Laval.

Ntim has struggled with a groin injury and has not played for his club since his return from the U20 World Cup.

And even though he didn’t play on his injury return, the defender is delighted to at least make his way back into the squad.

“I am very very, very happy to be in the squad,” he said.

“For a long time I was waiting for that, you know. Returning from the U20 World Cup with Ghana, I was injured for two months and a half, then I was injured again.

“But now everything is fine. I think everything is going in the right direction for me now.”
