Ghanaian Frederick Ofosu Sekyere is training with the youth side of German club VFL Bochum.

The 17-year-old arrived in Germany earlier this year haven spent most of his time in Italy.

Sekyere was born in Ghana but joined his family in Italy at age 7.

While in Italy, the midfielder played for Serie-B club Modena where he became friends with Ghanaian players based in Italy.

The 17-year-old is now looking to earn a professional contract to further his career.

“I met Chibsah (Yusif) – a great guy and also know Barusso and Boakye-Yiadom during my time in Italy,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Things have been good so far here in Germany. The club seems to like me but can’t say the same for the players because they keep complaining they can’t keep up with my speed and skills.

“I am only looking to secure myself a professional contract and get on with my career as a footballer and hopefully this dream will become reality.”
