Ghanaian youth defender Bright Gyamfi scores consolation goal for Inter in Viareggio Cup defeat to Spezia

Ghanaian youth defender Bright Gyamfi scored the consolation goal for Inter Milan in their 3-1 defeat to Spezia in the Viareggio Cup on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old lateral defender grabbed his first goal of the tournament which the young Nerazzuris won last season.

Gyamfi rose above the defenders to head home a cross from the right 180 seconds into the second-half to keep Inter's hopes alive after they had gone 1-0 down in the first-half.

Samuel Appiah, who scored in the Nerazzurri's opening day victory over Macedonian side over Akademija Pandev came close to scoring Inter's second goal but he missed narrowly.

Inter must win their next game if they are to progress to the next round of the competition.
