Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has dedicated his brace against Hull City to his newborn son.

Giroud became a father again following the birth of his second child, Evan, and the striker was able to mark the occasion just hours later by scoring two goals in a 4-0 victory over Hull in the 5th Round of the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Giroud revealed later that he could have missed the game but added that he was happy to be able to dedicate the two goals to the latest joy in his life.

The French striker told Arsenal Player: "I could have missed the game actually, so I was glad that he arrived during the night.

"I could have a little rest [after he was born]. I travelled to Hull and I wanted to dedicate these two goals to him. I'm very happy to score."
