Ernest Sowah has welcome competition from Eric Ofori Antwi and Felix Annan for the first-choice goalkeeper spot at Kotoko.
Sowah, 27, joined the Ghanaian giants on a three-year deal after leaving Congolese side Don Bosco.
The former Berekum Chelsea glovesman is not worried about the prospect of youngsters Eric Ofori Antwi and Felix Annan ahead of the start of the ne season.
He will need to fend off competition from the duo but insists he will be ready to compete with the two for a starting berth this term.
âIt’s not a bother to me at all. We all want to work hard for the club to succeed. That’s is the primary focus of every player,’ he said
âThere are always first, second and third choice goalkeepers anywhere in the world. It doesn’t make one better than the other.
âEven if you look at the Black Stars, it’s the same. Today someone could be first and the next minute second. So there is no cause for alarm at all.
âI am ready to work hard to grab the number position but you have to give respect to your colleagues. We are all working hard.’
Antwi has been Kotoko custodian since he arrived from Amidaus Professionals two seasons ago and has shown consistent and improved displays for the Porcupine Warriors.
But the arrival of the former Black Stars shot-stopper has sparked intense competition in the goalkeeping department of the team.
