Great Olympics midfielder Gladson Awako is heading towards free agency as his contract is set to expire.
Awako disclosed this in a recent interview to fuel reports of him parting ways with the Accra-based club.
The 31-year-old said his contract will expire 'in a few months' and hasn't heard anything from the club over a renewal.
Awako shone in the just-ended Ghana Premier League season and has been linked with a move to Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians have prioritised the signing of Awako in their bid to strengthen the squad for next season.
Awako's experience, especially in Caf Champions League, having won it in 2015, is the determining factor behind Hearts' interest.
