Great Olympics SACK four experienced players- Clottey, Saka axed
Emmanuel Clottey captained Great Olympics before suspension of football in Ghana

Ghanaian side Great Olympics have sacked four top stars less than a year after signing them, the Ghanaian Times reported on Tuesday.

Striker Emmanuel Clottey, winger Ollenu Ashitey, defender Godfred Saka and goalkeeper Ernest Sowah are among the experienced players told to look elsewhere.

The Wonder club have terminated the contract of the four veterans over poor performance, media reports claimed on Tuesday.

Olympics brought in the high-profile former Premier League start to the side at the start of the season but they failed to impress.

The Accra side have moved quickly to mutually terminate their contract amid the coronavirus crisis which has crippled football in the West African nation.

It appears a massive reshuffle in the team as they seek to sign younger players to feature in the top-flight when normalcy is restored.
