German-born Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Schindler has emerged as a transfer target for Bundesliga side Hannover 96 ahead of the January transfer window.
Schindler was one of the most exciting players in the first round of the Bundesliga II after scoring five goals and providing six assists in 16 games for Holstein Kiel.
The 25-year-old's performance has not gone unnoticed as several German top-flight sides including Dusseldorf and FC Nuremberg have enquired about his availability as his contract with Kiel is set to run out over the summer.
Holstein Kiel are however reported to be negotiating with the player to extend his deal beyond the summer but could cash in on him if they fail to find a solution.
With only four days to the winter window, reports have emerged that Hannover 96 has entered the race to sign the Ghanaian attacking midfielder.
Franco di Santo, Ibrahim Meite, Josip Drmic, Alexander Isak and Branimir Hrgota are reported to be the other targets by the Die Roten.
