Hearts confirm June 6 for CAF Confederation Cup return clash against Esperance

Hearts of Oak have confirmed June 6 for their CAF Confederation Cup return leg clash against Esperance – following an advice by a Kumasi-based prophet.

The Phobians were advised by the prophet to honour the match on a Saturday in order to have a chance of miraculously overturning a 4-0 deficit suffered in the first leg against the Tunisian giants.

Hearts are used to playing their matches on a Sunday – mainly to boost attendance but are now shifting from this norm due to a prophecy.

“If they [Hearts] play on a Friday, they will draw the game,” the prophet said.

“However if they play on Saturday, they can overturn the deficit and progress but if they play on Sunday, they’ll definitely lose.”

Hearts decision to play the match on June 6 can however be linked to the planned friendly match between Ghana and Togo scheduled for June 7.

With the Accra Sports Stadium owned by the state, the Black Stars always take precedence over Hearts of Oak who are yet to construct their own stadium.

Hearts spokesman Muheeb Saeed confirmed the date for the game.

“We have written through the GFA to the Tunisians that the game will be played on June 6,” he said.

“Nowadays we listen to advice a lot so we have confirmed June 6 for the game.

“The Tunisian has earlier written to us that they will arrive on June 5 which will mean they cannot play the match the following day so they would have to amend their traveling schedule.”
