Newly inducted Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Alhaji Braimah Akanbi has tasked the Japanese trainer of the club to prove a point with the G6 Tournament insisting he [Coach] cannot experiment anymore.
The Japanese trainer is yet to record a win with the Phobians after four friendly matches including a 1-1 draw with Rising Stars in Accra, a 4-0 thrashing by WAFA in Sogakope and losing on two occasions to Libyan giants Ahli Tripoli.
But the long serving management member and now board member of the club Alhaji Akanbi insists King Keni must demonstrate his tactical prowess with the G6.
“I can calm the fans that they should relax. The board has alerted him that he cannot experiment with this tournament,” Akanbi said.
“The league was expected to start on the 20th of this month. So if it had started, would the technical team say they are experimenting? They won’t so they must prove a point with this tournament.”
“The board hopes by now Keni should have his team after playing four matches and that will be seen during the tournament. So the fans must patiently wait for what the team brings on board,” he concluded.
Hearts of Oak will be battling it out with archrivals Asante Kotoko, league winners AshGold, FA Cup winners Medeama SC, 2010 League Chanpions and 2011 League Champions Berekum Chelsea between the 6th and 13th of January 2016.
